Upon arrival in Arusha, your safari guide will meet you and drive you to Tarangire National Park. Famous for its large elephant herds and striking baobab trees, Tarangire offers diverse habitats ranging from river valleys to open plains, ideal for spotting a variety of wildlife. As you go on a game drive, you’ll likely encounter elephants, giraffes, zebras, and an abundance of birdlife. The park’s rich biodiversity ensures an exciting start to your safari. After your game drive, you will overnight at a lodge or camp near Tarangire
On the second day, your safari continues with a journey to Serengeti National Park. Serengeti is world-renowned for its vast plains and incredible wildlife, including lions, leopards, cheetahs, and a wide range of herbivores. Depending on the season, you may be able to witness the iconic Great Migration, when millions of wildebeest and zebras cross the Serengeti in search of fresh grazing land. Your guide will take you on a game drive through different areas of the park, allowing you to explore Serengeti’s diverse habitats. After a full day of game viewing, you’ll overnight at a lodge or camp within the Serengeti
Spend the third day fully immersed in the Serengeti with a morning and afternoon game drive. Serengeti is one of the best places in the world for predator sightings, and you’ll have a chance to spot lions, leopards, and cheetahs as they hunt or rest. The park’s wide-open plains also provide excellent opportunities for bird watching and photographing the wildlife. You will continue your exploration of the Serengeti, perhaps focusing on a particular area of interest or wildlife behavior. After another rewarding day, you’ll spend the night at your lodge in the park
On day four, you’ll make your way to Ngorongoro Crater, one of Tanzania’s most extraordinary wildlife locations. The crater is a collapsed volcano that has formed a unique, self-contained ecosystem. It’s home to a high concentration of wildlife, including elephants, lions, zebras, wildebeests, and black rhinos. Descend into the crater floor for a game drive that offers some of the best wildlife viewing opportunities in the world. As the day draws to a close, you’ll head to your lodge near Ngorongoro for a relaxing night.
Your fifth day takes you to Lake Manyara National Park, which is famous for its tree-climbing lions, abundant birdlife, and diverse ecosystems, ranging from dense forests to open grasslands and the soda lake itself. Lake Manyara is home to elephants, giraffes, zebras, and a variety of antelope species. It is also one of the best places to spot a wide array of bird species, including flamingos and pelicans. The park’s mix of habitats makes it an excellent location for wildlife and bird watching. After your game drive, you’ll return to your accommodation for your final night in Tanzania.
On your final day, after a morning game drive in Lake Manyara, you’ll head back to Arusha, where your safari ends. Depending on your flight schedule, you can explore the town or head straight to the airport for your departure.
